The Plum Blossom Award, named after the saying "the plum blossom's fragrance comes from bitter cold," is China's first major theatre award honoring outstanding young and mid-career performers and advancing the art form. In 2023, on its 40th anniversary, the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles and the China Theatre Association celebrated the occasion by publishing Our Plum Blossom Award (CFLAC Publishing House), a curated collection by the China Theatre Association.
